Caroline’s Three Wishes

This is a happy story that relates to three wishes of Caroline's. 

Caroline was a kind of simple girl, of the 19^th Century. She had only one problem that she wanted to have things which other girls had. She usually had confessions with her mother about that she wanted to have all things which other girls had and her mother replied to her that other girls also don’t have things which you have so why you are always in need of things which those other girls have.

One day her mother was going to the market to buy dinner. On the same day the Governor was also coming to the town. Caroline’s only brother Jerry, who was also going to see the Governor with his two friends. Caroline was not going there although her friends had tried to force her to come.

She was in fact not going because she wanted to have a chariot with four white horses to go over there. When everyone had gone she accused herself that she should have also gone. She at the same time thought that if the governor was really a genuine governor, maybe he would grant some wishes to her somehow.

She was still rocking on the chair when she wrote her three wishes:

1. A chariot with four white horses.
2.  A maid to find and put on hats, boots etc.
3. Plenty of hats, boots, and gloves for the maid to put on, and so that she would not have to worry about where she put them.

She then thought that she should cross the maid in the list and wish for something better. Something to eat so she wrote chocolate creams, she had never had enough of them ever. At the same moment her mother returned to home looking breathless and heated. She sat onto a chair to recover her strength to speak and then the words came out of her mouth.

She told Caroline that the governor had told her mother that Caroline could have her three wishes. One wish on one day but every day the wish has to be made at home at 12:00 morning. The time now was nearly thirty seconds less than morning so Caroline as the needle was about to come onto the digit she wished that I want the room chock full of chocolates. Before she could mutter any more words the room was full of chocolate creams.

They crowded into her half open mouth. She ate them and said to her mother that these were the most freshest she had ever tasted. Her mother without hesitating opened her mouth and again the chocolate creams rolled into her mouth, and she also found them very delicious. But her mother said that she has wasted her opportunity in such an extravagant wish. She replied that does she think a whole room full of chocolate is a waste; they can make a fortune out of it.

Her mother then agreed with her. At the same time Jerry along with his two friends came into the room. Jerry had brought them home for dinner but there was no dinner, so Caroline asked them that would they like to have these chocolate creams and they agreed. So they also ate the chocolate creams. With great effort all of them were able to get out of the room.

The next day they all wanted to go to the picnic as Caroline’s friends had invited her to the picnic and so she asked Jerry to bring his friends as she wanted to get her bets dress which was on the couch in the room. Jerry got some of her more friends into the house so that they can eat some chocolate creams and make a way through them in the room as Caroline wanted to take her best dress which was on the couch. They ate but it was taking them a lot of time so Caroline wished not knowing that it was right the morning 12:00 time that Jerry’s friend Buck had a long neck with a big stomach so he can eat faster.

And so this happened, but it was not good for Caroline as she wanted to make the second wish of a chariot with four white horses. And now although Jerry’s friends were able to get her paramount dress but she had to go on the wagon to the picnic point. At first Buck was happy with his long neck and big stomach but he did not know that it would cost him a lot of trouble later.

On the other side Caroline had fun with her friends and was given the permission by her mother to stay till night with her friends. She came home the next day before 12:00 so that she could make her third wish of stuff she wanted and thinking that Buck would have got alright by now. But Buck along with his parents was in her house sitting with her mother in the lounge.

Buck’s parents told that they had a lot of trouble with his long neck and big stomach and wanted Caroline’s to make her third wish which would get him normal again. As on the last night Buck’s head was outside of the house into their neighbor’s parallel room. So at last it was the right time and Caroline instantly wished that Buck was normal and then Buck along with his parents went back to his home.

Caroline was accusing herself that she had wasted her 2 wishes. But her mother cheered her mood by telling her that they can still sell the chocolate creams and make money.
